1783年11月、27歳のヴォルフガング・アマデウス・モーツァルトは、妻コンスタンツェとともにオーストリア北部の都市リンツを訪れました。
ウィーンへ戻る途中の短い滞在でしたが、ここで思いがけない演奏会の依頼を受けます。新しい交響曲を用意していなかったモーツァルトは、わずかな日数のうちに《交響曲第36番 ハ長調》K.425を書き上げました。現在、《リンツ》の名で親しまれている作品です。
この時期、モーツァルトはもう一つの作品を自らの手で書き記しました。
それがこの《ピアノ・ソナタ 第13番 変ロ長調 K.333》です。
今回のジークレープリントは、そのソナタの第1楽章 Allegro の自筆譜をもとに制作しました。
自筆譜の冒頭には、
Sonata di Wolfgango Amadeo Mozart
と、モーツァルト自身の筆跡で記されています。
このソナタは、モーツァルトのピアノ作品の中でも、現在なお演奏会やリサイタルで取り上げられ、ピアニストが学び、演奏を重ねるレパートリーの一つです。明快で自然に流れる音楽のなかに、モーツァルトならではの優雅さと豊かな表現が息づいています。
約240年の時を経てもなお演奏され続ける音楽。時を超えて今に伝わる一譜をお楽しみください。
In November 1783, 27-year-old Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart visited Linz, a city in northern Austria, together with his wife, Constanze.
Their stay was brief, as they were travelling back to Vienna, but an unexpected request for a concert awaited Mozart there. Having no new symphony prepared, Mozart completed the Symphony No. 36 in C major, K. 425, in just a few days. The work is now beloved as the “Linz” Symphony. Around this time, Mozart wrote another work in his own hand: the Piano Sonata No. 13 in B-flat major, K. 333.
This giclée print is based on the autograph manuscript of the sonata’s first movement, Allegro. At the beginning of the manuscript, Mozart himself wrote: Sonata di Wolfgango Amadeo Mozart.
Among Mozart’s piano works, this sonata remains part of the active repertoire today, continuing to be performed in concerts and recitals and studied and performed by pianists. Its music flows with clarity and natural grace, imbued with Mozart’s characteristic elegance and expressive richness.
